EVA Air Launches Sanrio Gudetama Flight to Tokyo in 2016

EVA Air Launches Sanrio Gudetama Flight to Tokyo

You probably know EVA Air for its immensely popular Hello Kitty flight.
EVA AIR is a Taiwanese airline. It is a member of the Evergreen Group and the Star Alliance. It sailed in 1991 and is based at Taoyuan International Airport. Its main business is to operate international passenger and cargo routes. It also provides domestic service at the beginning of its establishment. However, after 1998, it was fully transferred to Lirong Airlines, which is also a member of Evergreen Group. EVA Air began offering luxury economy class services in 1992 and is the first airline in the world to set up such passenger cabins.

EVA Air has not had a fatal accident that has not been killed since its establishment, and has an excellent record of Fei'an. In 2016, it was awarded a five-star airline by Skytrax and the eighth airline in the world to receive this honor.

“Lazy egg” Gudetama has joined the ranks of other Sanrio characters with the launch of the Gudetama-themed aircraft by EVA Air (2016).

Most EVA Air flights depart from the main hub airport, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, flight operations are located in Terminal 2, Air China, United Airlines, Asiana Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines Company, Air New Zealand and other stars. Alliance members share the second terminal (Thailand International Airlines still uses the first terminal). In addition, there are flights on both sides of Asia and the airport at Songshan Airport and Kaohsiung International Airport. In addition to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is also the main airport of EVA Air, connecting all routes in Europe (except for Paris and some direct flights from Vienna).

EVA Air's route network is affected by Taiwan's political status, and European flights and some Asian countries are subject to more restrictions. When direct flights between the two sides of the strait are not opened, Taiwan Airlines cannot fly directly to mainland China. They must use two airports in Hong Kong and Macau as transit airports. Since 2003, EVA Air has participated in cross-strait Spring Festival charter flights. In 2008, it applied for cross-strait charter operations. In 2009, it officially switched to scheduled flights.
