Gudetama is a lazy egg character that has gained a worldwide reputation. His name comes from the Japanese onomatopoeia "gudegude", which actually means dead wine, and "tama" is the first two syllables in the egg ("tamago"). He has no motivation to do anything, and this may be the reason people love him.

Designed by Japanese company Sanrio, Gudetama is best known for its Hello Kitty character and is inspired by the Japanese Kawaii pop culture.
